We are very proud that Slee Blackwell partner Oliver Thorne has been appointed to the specialist clinical negligence panel of AvMA, the Action Against Medical Accidents charity. AvMA accreditation is highly prestigious and has become a leading quality mark within the field of clinical negligence law. So, if you need the services of experienced specialist clinical negligence solicitors in Devon, Somerset and the South West, then Oliver and his team are here to help.
Accredited AvMA practitioners must demonstrate that they possess medical knowledge as well as having legal expertise. The charity also requires practitioners to have an empathy with patients who have suffered harm as a result of negligent medical treatment. In addition, panel solicitors must have excellent customer care and an appreciation of all the different ways that clinical disputes can be resolved, such as mediation, complaints procedures and inquests. Once appointed to the panel lawyers are required to sign up to the AvMA code of conduct, and must seek reaccreditation every five years to remain panel members.
Oliver’s appointment to the AvMA panel compliments Slee Blackwell Solicitors being ranked as the top clinical negligence solicitors in the UK by legal review platform, ReviewSolicitors*.
We are also recommended in the field of clinical negligence by the independent guide to the legal profession, the Legal 500.
Working alongside Oliver in our clinical negligence team are solicitor Caroline Webber-Brown, who is particularly experienced in gynaecology and obstetric cases. We also specialise in dental negligence claims.
Oliver, Caroline, and the rest of the team are always happy to have an informal chat with anyone thinking about bringing a legal action. They are also able to work on a No Win, No Fee basis, so you do not need to allow money worries to put you off seeking justice.
