The latest edition of The Legal 500 has been published, and once again Slee Blackwell are recommended injury solicitors in Devon.
The Legal 500 is a highly prestigious guide to the legal profession. It ranks national firms of solicitors according to their capabilities and expertise. The assessment is carried out by independent researchers and the final rankings are based upon extensive interviews with clients and key individuals within the legal profession. It is a great achievement for a firm of solicitors to be included in The Legal 500, and accordingly the publication has become the benchmark of success for the best solicitors in the UK.
The 2023 guide says that Slee Blackwell, “fields a personal injury team that offers clients a broad range of specialisms.” It highlights the work of practice head James McNally who it say, “stands out for his expertise in the niche area of dog bite claims, where he handles complex cases involving severe injuries.”
James has attracted a great deal of media attention in recent years and has regularly been featured in the national press, becoming known as, ‘the dog bite solicitor’.
The guide also features partner Elizabeth Duncan who it says, “is noted for her work handling claims made to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority, particularly involving childhood sexual and physical abuse.”
The Legal 500 notes that Slee Blackwell is also regularly engaged by clients who have suffered workplace injuries, with a focus on stress at work claims.
In addition to our personal injury department appearing in the rankings, our clinical negligence team has also been ranked. It is led by Oliver Thorne, who the guide says, “has specialisms in childbirth injuries and cases related to cosmetic surgery.”
Partner Caroline Webber-Brown is another key individual to be rated in the publication, with the authors referring to her, “diverse practice, with a focus on rectopexy mesh claims.”
